A Note on the City
The city is dense, vertical and quietly grand — the Vltava through the centre, the Castle on the hill, the Old Town across the bridge, and the long European evening between Hemingway and La Degustation that Prague has quietly kept to itself for generations.
What follows is a short, edited guide — four daytime moments, then two of each for the evening. Enough for a long weekend, or the start of something worth returning for.

An hour along the famous stone bridge as the lamps come on — baroque statues silhouetted against a golden sky, the Old Town spires beyond, soft mist rising from the Vltava. The most cinematic passage Prague keeps.

Lesser Quarter · Cobbled streets & lamplight
An hour through the narrow cobblestone streets of the Lesser Quarter — white pastel Baroque townhouses with red roofs, warm lamplight on the façades, a soft mist settling. The city's most quietly atmospheric quarter.

Start at one of the marble-countered cafés along the Vltava — an espresso, a slow watch of the bridge and the spires. The day asks for nothing yet.

Across to the Old Town for a considered lunch — a plate of game, a glass of Moravian white, and an hour at a quiet table near the square.

An afternoon up to Hradčany for the long view, then back down through Mala Strana — cobblestones underfoot, lamps coming on along the lanes.

An hour in the classical cocktail room — a Manhattan in hand, dark wood and brass around. The European hour, slowly, exactly as Prague keeps it.
20:30
La Degustation for the considered tasting evening, or a long second sitting at Field for the modern close. Both deserve the early reservation.
23:30
Terasa U Prince for one last drink with the spires lit, then — if the night truly insists — M1 Lounge for the long close or EPIC for the upscale one. The bridge will keep.
