Yes, absolutely. Thanks to the Around Me tool and the instant date feature, DESIRES is perfect for people who don’t want to plan days in advance but are up for a date that same evening.
Does it cost anything to create a date?
On the contrary, you actually receive coins for accepted dates. Creating dates is free for all users. Users can apply for your date and have to pay 3 coins to do so. For each user who applies for your date, you receive 2 coins, provided you select that user and go on the date with them.
Can I see who applied for my date?
Yes. You’ll receive a list of all applicants with their profiles. You have complete control and can choose only the person who truly appeals to you.
What happens after I confirm a date?
Once you make a selection, the exact location will be revealed to your date. You can then clarify any remaining details via the chat and call module or meet directly at the agreed-upon location.
Can I cancel a date?
Yes, you can manage or cancel dates at any time. However, we value a respectful community where commitments are taken seriously. Therefore, if you cancel multiple dates, you may be temporarily blocked from booking new ones.
How does the app disguise itself on my phone work?
In the settings, you can change the app icon. Choose an icon that looks like a standard app (e.g., a calculator). This icon will then appear on your home screen with an inconspicuous name, so no one will notice you have a dating app installed as they walk by.
Who can see me in Ghost Mode?
No one—except the people you’ve already added as friends. For all other users, you’re completely invisible on the map, in Spotlight, and in Spark mode. You’re a “ghost” who sees everything but isn’t seen.
Are my video calls secure?
Yes, all video and voice calls in the Chat & Call module are end-to-end encrypted. Since no phone numbers are exchanged, there is no way for the other party to track your identity outside the app.
Does DESIRES protect against catfishing?
Yes, through its integrated video calling feature. We recommend that our users make a short video call before meeting in person to ensure that the person really looks like their photos. We also strongly advise against exchanging phone numbers. Instead, use the integrated communication options.
How do I get featured in my city’s spotlight?
As soon as you open the app and activate your profile, you’ll appear in the spotlight. To be at the top and generate more attention, you can upgrade your status to VIP or GOLD.
What’s the difference between VIP and GOLD?
GOLD offers you all the basic features and increased visibility. VIP is our premium status: You’ll be highlighted in the spotlight with a special frame, have unlimited Super Likes, and exclusive access to all Ghost features.
Can I see users in other cities?
Yes. You can adjust your location in Spotlight or on the map to see who’s active at your next destination—perfect for planning dates in advance.
Does the app need constant access to my location?
Location access is necessary for features like Around Me. However, you can restrict or pause this access at any time in your smartphone’s settings or directly in the app.
How do I permanently delete my profile?
We make it easy for you. You can delete your profile at any time in your account settings. This will permanently remove all your data, pictures, and chats from our servers.
What to do if you’re being harassed?
We have a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful behavior. You can block any user with just two clicks or report them to our support team. We review reports immediately.
