A Note on the Village
The village is small, horizontal and quietly grand — the old port curving along the quay, the Place des Lices behind, the Citadelle above and the long crescent of Pampelonne a short drive south. The long Riviera evening between Les Caves du Roy and Cheval Blanc is an inheritance the village has quietly kept since the sixties.

Start at one of the marble-countered cafés along the old port — an espresso, a slow watch of the yachts and the pastel facades. The day asks for nothing yet.

Out to Pampelonne for the iconic beach lunch — the blue and white striped tablecloths, a plate of salade Niçoise, a glass of Côtes de Provence rosé, an hour at a quiet table beneath the pines.

An afternoon walking the long beach, then back through the old town and up to the Citadelle for the long view across the bay as the lamps come on.

An hour at White 1921 — a flute of champagne in hand, plane trees overhead, the village settling around. The European hour, slowly, exactly as Saint-Tropez keeps it.

La Vague d'Or for the considered three-star evening on the bay, or a long second sitting at Le Bar du Port for the harbour-side close. Both deserve the early reservation.

A nightcap on the way to Les Caves du Roy at the Byblos for the iconic close, or — if the night truly insists — VIP Room for the upscale one. The village will keep.
